Back in 2003 my dad was working on a 1956 Chevy that was going to be aired on American Hot Rod. Like most builds created at the shop a custom one-off set of wheels was machined to put the finishing touches on the car. The result was a modernized version of a classic T70 5 spoke wheel. As soon as those wheels were put on the Junk Yard Dog we knew we had another winner of a design on our hands. It wasn’t long before we decided to make it in a high quality billet and cast centered version in 17-20″ to offer for sale to the public. At Hot Rods by Boyd we continue to manufacture the same exact wheel. While there are other chinese wheels out there that try to imitate and replicate this classic do not be fooled.
