Flashback – Chezoom Road Trip 1992
I was going through some old pictures and came across some from a road trip I took with my dad in Chezoom. There was a period of time my dad was on a mission to call out some haters that called some of his cars ‘trailer queens’ so he set out to prove them wrong. My dad invited me to join him on a cross country trip in Chezoom to drive from California to Goodguys Indy. Long time friend Bob Bauder and Hot Rod Magazine mad man Gray Baskerville followed us in a bitchin flamed dually pulling a trailer. We made it the whole way with only minor difficulties. Along the way we had a series of stops planned at various Super Shops and other tire shops for planned events. Gray Baskerville was one of a kind and he was there to document the whole trip for Hot Rod Magazine. Bob and Gray taught me the finer parts of road trips like stocking up on a few buckets of KFC chicken and eating it the whole week on the road. Once we got to Indy I was stoked when my dad let me drive Chezoom around the Indy 500 track. I will never forget pulling up to these gas stations across the USA and having people just trip out on the car. The road trip I will never forget. Seeing America in Chezoom with my dad.
