#TBT Came across this clipping from the Los Angeles Times about my dad from 2000. This was at a time when my dad was trying to rebuild the business and his career. I remember this like it was yesterday. I had taken some time off from the hot rod industry and was just about to come back to work for my dad. My dad was a hard worker who never let anyone tell him he couldn’t do something and fought for his vision every step of the way. In the 90’s my dad was everyone’s hero and worked hard to build the hot rodding industry. When it all came crashing down in 97 a lot of people bailed on him and called him a zero. True friends stood next to him and worked with him to build the business and build back his career. I am proud to say I was right there and was proud to watch my dad fight to come back. I learned to appreciate all the family, friends, co-workers, employees, vendors, and customers that helped make these things happen. I learned a lot from my dad and I miss him everyday.
Work hard and make things happen people. You only have one life. Live it.
